About Me

I first came into bookkeeping when I assisted my in laws in their family business for 5 years. I helped with small things from invoicing to payroll, inventory and sales. I then took a small workshop in accounting where I discovered I actually had a niche for it. It really got me excited and I pursued it further by completing an accounting certificate program at Front Range Community College. I excelled in the program by obtaining a 4.0 GPA and I received a certificate in accounting in 2010. I have been a bookkeeper, controller and office manager at a truck repair shop for 12 years. In that position I was solely responsible for all the finances of a S-corporation that did at least 2 million in sales every year and had 15-20 employees at any given time. My responsibilities were everything from payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, to filing all payroll taxes and sales tax, human resource duties such as benefits administrator and maintaining employee records, preparing financial statements and keeping all accounts reconciled monthly. In addition to that I have the experience of working on the parent board at my kids school for two years as the co-treasurer. In that role I was able to gain experience in running the books for a 501(c)(3) charity and did everything from entering the budget, create monthly financial statements, keep charity status up to compliance and file annual and quarterly taxes in accordance to regulations. Along with all of that I have helped many friends and family members in creating budgets and maintaining their finances.

I want to provide reliable bookkeeping services to local entrepreneurs and small businesses. Using my expertise to provide quality services so that business owners can focus their efforts on running their business and not worrying about their books. Doing this will help to fulfill my vision of also being an independent business woman in control of my own destiny.
